Walker Evans said, "Whether he is an artist or not, the photographer is a joyous sensualist, for the simple reason that the eye traffics in feelings, not in thoughts. That sums up my life's work. In June 2010, I "officially" halfway retired. Recently, I fully retired, and will be shooting for myself. A lot has changed in 36 years, but my love for my work and the many people I have photographed over the years have remained a constant. I now have more time and the technology to dig out the dusty negatives and slides for scanning - photos that have taunted me for years; photos of people waiting to be heard and seen; stories to be told. Many of my photos will be from my assignments in Third World countries, some have never been printed. I will be mixing recent photos taken out of my city and state, as well as abroad, so one day you may see a Third World photo, the next day you may see an antique car show. Check out my city blog and see what is happening in Crisfield, Maryland. Email me at: huey091@hotmail.com.

I've moved...

I've moved
Two blogs were too much to keep up with. Since I am no longer focusing on my hometown, I am posting all photos on my old site. Visit me at Crisfield Blog, but don't let the title fool you. I will be posting both old and new photos, including photos, when I have time to scan the negatives, from my time as a photojournalist.
